A Photo A Day Project.
Day 17: My photo today is a team effort. Lily chose to assist me today by providing the ‘object’ for me to photograph. I went into the brightest room in the house – the bathroom, put it on a mirror and then played with different angles.
I still wasn’t overly happy with the images so a tweak of colours and a tighter crop resulted in an interesting abstract. Camera settings: ISO 2500; f3.2; 1/50th. Heavily edited in Adobe Lightroom.
I also toyed with the idea of having a blurred fan yet when I edited those images I just wasn’t happy with them either. I have days like that where I will shoot something and there will just be something missing, something I can’t usually put my finger on until it’s too late. Either that or I am in an overly self-critical mood which means I won’t be happy no matter what I shoot – it’s these days when I know I won’t appreciate the images for an unknown period of time, perhaps a day, maybe a week or sometimes even a month will pass before I’ll look at the images again and say ‘ok, that’s pretty cool…’ Below are some of the other images I shot today.
