A Photo A Day Project.

Day 9: Today was a huge day. I left Sydney at around 10am and drove over 800kms to my ‘home’ 🙂 Not a lot to say about the drive – it was long yet it went well. The kids were exceptionally good. We had almost 10 hours in the car so we talked a lot. We talked about; the possibility of moving back to New South Wales, the past 10 days of holidays, whether or not they would be going to school tomorrow, how much they missed their pet guinea pigs, Cate wanting a cat (no chance of that happening), who’s turn is it on the iPad, how many more hours to go, when are we stopping for another break, what are we going to do on the weekend, when’s Daddy coming home from his holiday… like I said, we talked a lot!

I had a little chuckle to myself during the drive as around sunset time the clouds were just amazing, very colourful and dramatic and the kids said to me, ‘wow, that looks really awesome, don’t you think you should stop and take a photo of that!’. Mmm, I would love to but there really wasn’t anywhere to stop to take a photo and I wanted to get home and off the roads!

We arrived home safe and sound, I unpacked most of the car, shuffled the kids off to bed and opened a bottle of wine! Surprisingly all I wanted to do was sit down and chill out – even though I’d just spent 10 hours sitting in a car.
